A huge congratulations to Nathan Pidd who won an award for Disabled School Sports Leader of the Year, at the Bolsover District Sports Awards on Friday 6th October hosted at Sports World conference centre.

All parents and carers wish to do their very best for their child's education and choosing the right school is a daunting task requiring the most careful and sensitive judgement. We hope that this website will give you an introduction to Stubbin Wood School & Nursery, how it is organised and what it has to offer your child.

Welcome to Nursery!

Welcome to Nursery.

The following information gives you a little glimpse into the life of our nursery we hope you enjoy sharing in our fun!

We are a fully inclusive nursery catering for the needs of all children. We celebrate that all our children are unique individuals with something special to bring to nursery.  Our curriculum follows the EYFS and is enhanced by a sensory room, splash pool and soft play.

We believe that learning is exciting and aim to give our children the best start in the life of education by providing opportunities for our children to explore, question, reason and test their thinking through play in a happy secure environment.

Have you seen the Kids' Zone? Play games, and visit some cool websites. You can vote for your favourites!

We had PC Gordon visit the nursery as part of our learning about Police Officers. He came along in his police car and brought with him some flashy lights and lots of different hats and other pieces of clothing Police Officers have to wear for protection and to be seen easily. We had a great time trying on all the clothing and we even got to explore PC Gordon’s police car! After the visit we played in the nursery police station, taking finger prints and making walkie-talkies. We had a really fun day!
