Cleaner - Stubbin Wood School

Permanent, part time, 15 hours per week Monday to Friday

1x Role - 41 weeks per year (term-time plus 10 days)

3x Roles - 39 weeks per year (term-time only)

Grade 4, point 3 - £10.79 per hour

Closing date - 10 December at midnight

We are looking to appoint four cleaners who are flexible, reliable, enthusiastic and hard-working people to join our team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within our school.

 

Reporting directly to the Cleaner in Charge / Site Manager, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions and awareness of COSHH regulations and health and hygiene procedures, training will be provided. We look to appoint staff who are willing to contribute fully to the life of the school and who are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Class Teacher

We are seeking a Class Teacher who is committed to providing the highest possible standards of education with a broad and balanced curriculum to pupils within our school. This position would suit an ECT.

The successful candidate will demonstrate essential professional characteristics, and in particular will be an effective professional who demonstrates thorough curriculum knowledge, can teach and assess effectively, take responsibility for professional development and has pupils who achieve well within special educational needs.

Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking 4 Learning Support Assistants who are committed to providing the highest possible standards of support to pupils within our school.

This role involves assisting the teacher in the management/ preparation of resources and supporting pupils, giving adequate opportunity for developing independence, with learning activities.

We are seeking Higher Level Teaching Assistants who are committed to providing the highest possible standards of support and teaching to pupils within our school.

You should aim for a short narrative containing any essential criteria taken from the person specification (ideally no more than 120 words).

Your primary focus is to ensure continued high-quality learning and pupil achievement. You will cover and lead class teaching (under supervision) as and when directed, ensuring that you are supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning. You will organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment.

We are seeking 3 Teaching Assistants to work at our satellite site, based at King Edwards Primary School, Mansfield, who are committed to providing the highest possible standards of support to pupils within our school.

Site Manager

Permanent, 37 hours per week - split shifts

Grade 6 / 7 - Dependent on experience

Closing date - 4 December 2022, midnight

The Site Manager role is a valued member of the school’s team; directly responsible to Principal / Estates Manager. The successful candidate must carry out his/her responsibilities under the direction of the Principal and Governing Body in line with the school’s policies and procedures with due regard to the Trusts Equal Opportunities Policy. The main purpose of the role is to ensure the site’s upkeep to high standards and is maintained so that it is a safe and welcoming space. The role includes hands on and practical activities such as painting, decorating, basic plumbing, building of furniture and general handyperson duties. This role also involves supervising the cleaning team to ensure the cleanliness of the building and facilities.

Primary Apprentice

32 hours per week, Term time only, £137.60 per week 

 

This role will be based at Stubbin Wood School, Shirebrook.

Duties will include:

  • Engage and motivate pupils.
  • Improve the quality of pupils’ learning.
  • Inspire trust and confidence in pupils and colleagues.
  • Build team commitment with colleagues and in the classroom.
  • Demonstrate empathy with and an appreciation of the care needs of pupils.
  • Establish constructive relationships and use a variety of methods to communicate with parents and other relevant professionals, in liaison with teachers, to support pupils’ learning and progress.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom.
  • Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils to participate and achieve in learning activities.
  • Promote independence and employ strategies to recognise and reward its achievement.
  • Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with established policy and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to demands made by individual pupils to meet general care, mobility and personal hygiene needs.
