Each week we are uploading new lesson plans for students in each Key Stage which we hope will be interesting and inspire your child to continue their lessons at home. Sometimes, we need to think about different ways of learning and we are adding ideas and websites to this page to give you even more ideas.
Learning with Phonics!
At Stubbin Wood School we use phonics to help our students to read - we use Ruth Miskin to support this. Please click this link to find out more about Read Write Inc. Phonics, the programme we use to help students across school learn to read and write. As well as an information video, designed to help parents understand how Read, Write Inc. Phonics works, you will also find links to daily phonics lessons that support children to develop their reading skills whilst working from home, as well as some fantastic story and poetry reading sessions for you all to enjoy. PE with Joe
Joe started the Body Coach TV with a goal to offer free home workouts to everyone, no matter what their fitness levels. The site now has over 250+ free workouts and reaches millions of people all over the world ☺️

Blue Peter (on YouTube)
Blue Peter on YouTube has been launched at CBBC and it is hoped that pupils and parents will be interested in this, for entertainment outside of home-schooling hours now we’re in lockdown. Blue Peter is the longest running kids TV show in the world and we are uploading videos to it that are suitable for 5-11 year olds. We have world record breaking challenges, arts and crafts, environmental videos, cooking and baking how tos, inspirational films, gaming, celebrity appearances, dance routines and music performances. We also feature ways of getting a Blue Peter badge, behind the scenes footage and extra content about our incredible presenters Adam, Lindsey, Mwaksy, Richie and Henry the Blue Peter dog.
