Creating opportunities for everyone to achieve success and reach their potential

If your child is unwell with a cold or feeling 'under the weather' please do not send them to school. The new Delta variant of the virus presents itself with different symptoms in children and being careful will result in reduced transmission. Please see our 'Coronavirus - Keeping Updated' page in the Parents section on this website.

Learning in The Hub

Welcome to The Hub!

We are so pleased that you are helping your child to develop their confidence in learning at home.  It is a really great way of supporting their learning skills when they come to school and it's so important that our students continue to learn whilst they remain at home.

We have put together these learning materials to help your child to focus on their learning whilst they 'self-isolate' and we will add new materials each week.

The Hub students follow the investigators pathway - so please click on the 'investigators' icon below to access their learning plan.  We would like your child to complete a learning plan each week and send it back to us at school (an email would be fine, don't forget to put your name on it!)

Our learning offer is designed with the understanding that each pupil will have their own starting point and targets.  We are really keen to make sure that we create opportunities for everyone to achieve success and reach their potential, and ultimately be as independent as possible, so that they are well prepared as possible for the next stage of their life.

Learning for our Investigators is delivered through the National Curriculum.  This sets out Programmes of Study that detail the content that should be taught in each subject.

Once students reach Key Stages 4 and 5 these subjects are then offered at a level where they can gain qualifications.

Thank you for supporting this and, as always, if you need anything further please email me at

Home Learning Record: As your child learns and develops their knowledge, it is helpful if we can keep a track of their progress.  This helps us to reflect on what they know, what they found easy to learn and what they might need a little more help with.  Please click on the image or HERE to download a blank learning record sheet.

Please can you use the form to keep a record of their learning each day and email it back to their teacher.  Please put their name in the subject line of the email and send it to
