Message from the Headteacher
I feel very privileged to be the Headteacher of Stubbin Wood School & Nursery, a school where you can be confident your child will be safe, happy, and have their individual needs met through our specialist teaching and interventions.
Our values are reflected in our mission statement: 'Creating opportunities for everyone to achieve success and reach their potential. Inclusion is the centre of our ethos and day to day working practices as "Creating opportunities for everyone to achieve success" cannot be achieved without it. It is therefore part of the role of every member of staff.

Primary visit Buxton

On Tuesday 17th May, a group of pupils from Primary attended a concert organised for Special Schools by Live Music Now as part of Buxton Music Festival.

Pupils were entertained by Musicians Trio Volant (who play bassoon, clarinet and oboe). They took part in an interactive concert where our pupils danced to some groovy beats, conducted the musicians and clapped the rhythms as part of a bigger audience.

The weather was lovely and they enjoyed a picnic in the park, fed the ducks and found some fish hiding in the conservatory pond. They had a lovely day!
