Message from the Headteacher
I feel very privileged to be the Headteacher of Stubbin Wood School & Nursery, a school where you can be confident your child will be safe, happy, and have their individual needs met through our specialist teaching and interventions.
Our values are reflected in our mission statement: 'Creating opportunities for everyone to achieve success and reach their potential. Inclusion is the centre of our ethos and day to day working practices as "Creating opportunities for everyone to achieve success" cannot be achieved without it. It is therefore part of the role of every member of staff.

Reflection on the China Trip

After returning from their 10 day trip to China, we asked some of the staff and students to reflect on their favourite parts of the trip. Here are some of the things they said.

Danielle enjoyed making new friends and learning how to make spring rolls. She tasted lots of new foods on the trip and was surprised that she liked them all.

Lewis learnt how to play shuttlecock and found he had a natural talent for it. Mrs Lyons is hoping to introduce this as a new lunchtime activity club.

Kane said he liked seeing the Oriental Tower on the boat ride.

Zoe also said she enjoyed the boat ride and seeing the city from the river.

Archie enjoyed all the activities on the trip, especially painting pandas with new friends he had made.

See below for some amazing pictures from the trip. Mrs Lyons, Mrs Fletcher and Miss Bowes also enjoyed themselves and are looking forward to returning one day in the future.
