If your child is unwell with a cold or feeling 'under the weather' please do not send them to school. The new Delta variant of the virus presents itself with different symptoms in children and being careful will result in reduced transmission. Please see our 'Coronavirus - Keeping Updated' page in the Parents section on this website.

Welcome to Stubbin Wood School & Nursery

I feel very privileged to be the Executive Principal of Stubbin Wood School & Nursery, a school where you can be confident your child will be safe, happy and have their individual needs met through our specialist teaching and interventions.

All parents and carers wish to do their very best for their child's education and choosing the right school is a daunting task requiring the most careful and sensitive judgement. I hope that this website will give you an introduction to Stubbin Wood School & Nursery, how it is organised and what it has to offer your child.

Our open evenings takes place throughout the year but you are very welcome to contact us and visit the school; please contact Mrs Claire Draycott (Principal's PA).  If you have a current student in school and would like to get more involved with our parent group, please contact Mrs Pat Lyons (Parent and Pupil Coordinator).

As Executive Principal I have high expectations of everyone within our school so that collectively we can ensure we are the best we can be and the students achieve their personal potential. You can expect your child to be nurtured, supported, and challenged in order for them to be prepared for their adult life - to help them lead fulfilling lives beyond Stubbin Wood School & Nursery.  Working with you as parents and carers is vital to ensure your child’s success.

The school has dedicated and well organised staff who work together with pupils, parents, governors and the local community. Their aim is to provide a friendly, happy and secure environment to promote pupils' educational, personal and social development.

We have recently joined the T.E.A.M. Education Trust, a multi-academy group of schools, who firmly believe that 'Together Everyone Achieves More', hence T.E.A.M.  We hope your child will be happy in our T.E.A.M.
